Unlike Some of the Reviewers here I had a Great Experience at Viewline Snowmass Hotel for an 8 day Ski Trip in January 2024. Staff are amazing and I got to know many of them fro housekeeping to the Managers, especially when I asked to be refunded 3 nights because a Storm was Coming and I had prepaid for the room and decided to leave early. They were responsive and very kind. Let me just preface by saying I am a very demanding hotel guest. Every detail of the room has to be comfortable and functioning properly upon arrival, so as a guest I call the front desk multiple times for service. A Microwave and two Coffemakers were provided, clothes were dry cleaned and pressed well and on time, Extra hangers and towels brought in. The Food at this hotel is good. Which is rare for a hotel but I had Breakfast Buffet, Steak for dinner and Italian and dont forget to try their Chili - friends of mine visited from Aspen and even they thought the Chili was excellent. It's true that the carpets in the room have spots on them but it's to be expected as people walk in with SKI BOOTS and SNOW BOOTS and it's obviously difficult to keep light grey carpets totally spotless. I did not use the pool or the Jacuzzi. The place is vivacious at night, there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby within walking distance, Snowmass is walkable but frankly not as lively or as sophisticated as Aspen. Snowmass is sleepy by comparison. But The Skiing is excellent. The ski resort is large and definitely worth a visit. This hotel is Ski In and Ski Out. Call beforehand and make sure you get a nice room.

My stay at the Viewline Resort was for a conference. Check in was easy but as I went to my floor, immediately after exiting the elevator, no fault of the resort but of inconsiderate people, I could smell marijuana. The good news was that it slowly disappeared as the night went on.

My room was clean. Everything worked and I was able to adjust the temperature. It did seem to fluctuate from the AC to the heater to try and keep it constant. The view off the little balcony was nice. It was neat to sit out and watch the night sky and the sunrise.

As part of our conference, the resort had breakfast and lunch buffets. The staff was awesome at keeping up with the food and coffee stocked for the morning. The staff also were helpful for the couple of questions I had and brought an item I requested to my room in short order. There were plenty of restaurants open during our stay for dinner options, including the resort.

Overall, my stay was enjoyable, the conference went well, both our daytime learning and the nighttime activities!

The hotel is pet friendly. If you have allergies, like I do, you're out of luck because EVERY room is allowed pets. Our room was on the 4th floor and I immediately had an asthma attack. The front desk moved us to another room on the 4th floor; still no ability to feel relief. Third time was a charm and they put us on the 5th floor. I was fine. The only problem then was being above the pool where music played all day and all night. Why? We're in the mountains. We want serenity and quiet. Eventually someone must have complained because by the second night, the music was off - at night.|To allow my partner sleep, I would go to the beautiful foyer each morning for my coffee. The first morning was bliss. The second morning was loud music. TuRn OFF the music, please. If any of us want music, we'll listen with headphones to our own music list. Lastly, the cleanliness of the room. There was no attention to detail. Food stuff was on and under the chair upon our arrival. I think they are short-staffed because the first morning we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to get our bikes. After that, we just put the bikes in our room. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. But would I go back? No.

I checked in at 9pm and headed to the room. I noticed the thermostat at 80F. I turned it down to 69 and gave it a couple hours to cool down, only to realise that the AC doesn’t work! Maintenance came pretending to check what’s the issue and let me know they can’t fix it that night and offered a fan (which was really loud). I then happened to read all the past reviews and understood that the hotel has been having issues with the AC for a long time now. The hotel staff know and don’t care. The corridors are also warm. After several calls to front desk, I was finally moved to another room, which became magically available. This room had the incredibly loud AC, which other reviews have likened to the noise of a plane. All in all, I barely got any sleep and the next day, the front desk staff didn’t seem to care at all about the horrible experience. Unbelievable how they can put out rooms knowing there’s issues.

We sadly only stayed at this lovely hotel for one night, but it was easily the best hotel of our whole vacation and we would have stayed for much longer if we had time.||In the space 1 hour we changed room three times - the first room was mid-refurbishment and had a TV on the floor, the second room had broken air conditioning and the third room was ready with all facilities working.||It's such a shame we couldn't stay longer, so my review is quite short. We did have a lovely little trip via the gondola into the village, but didn't have time to adventure much further.

No Ventilation Systems-Paralyzed Staff||||My mistake for not reading the reviews first.||||The Room:||||This hotel fails to provide the most basic requirement: a clean room at a reasonable temperature.||||After complaining that the air conditioner, while quite loud, was not cooling the room. I was left with no explanation, just a box fan. As my family was quite tired, we attempted to “tough it out” but as the temperature in the room climbed to well over 80 degrees, we were forced to evacuate the room. The new room, while a bit cooler, was still too hot for comfort and we were quite glad to be leaving as early as possible.||||It is important to point out that it was not just our room which was hot, the halls were hot.||||The temperature outside was 51 degrees F.||||It is simple, this hotel does not have functioning environmental systems.||||Financial:||||I expected this hotel to be one of the highlights of my trip. At USD 400 per night, I do not think this was an unreasonable expectation. after I left, an extra, unexpected, unexplained USD 50.00 resort fee was charged to my card.||||General Observations:||||When I arrived, there were used drink glasses in the hallway. When Ieft the next day, they were still there.||||There was free coffee in the lobby, it was removed, permanently at 0700, so get there early. The coffee urn is on a table, the milk and sugar are 10 yards away on the bar. No sign indicates this, you just need to figure it out. This is a good indication of the lack of thought that seems to go into everything at this hotel.||||When I sat in the lobby with my book and finally had some peace from the roaring, non-functioning air conditioner in my room, the loud music was turned on. The other readers and I were forced to abandon this space as well.||||Seriously, most budget hotels are run much better than this place.

Oof. What a ride.
We have 4 very expensive rooms here for a conference we're attending. 3 of the 4 rooms are stuck at 82 degrees.. the fan turns on but doesn't blow cold air. We asked the front desk about it numerous times, they said it would be looked into but nobody did anything. I finally asked for fans, 2 for each room.. we got one fan for two rooms.
My room was never cleaned. I had to ask for someone to clean it and restock the coffee and cups twice, and finally someone went up the day before we left... I ran into her and she seemed very upset to be there.
I asked the concierge for coffee creamer to be sent up, it was never sent. So I called at 9:30 PM and asked for it again, was told they'd have it in the morning and I let him know I'd be awake by 4 so before then. It was brought up within ten minutes.
Next day... same thing. Had to ask twice... my room was clean and coffee restocked but surprise, no coffee creamer.
We didn't have a window to open to help with hot air, but we did have a sliding glass door... that was nice however one of the rooms had a broke lock and that seems dangerous and inviting for whoever is walking by.
The restaurant staff is VERY friendly. 10/10 for them. Guys out front running the cars and luggage, also 10/10... wonderful teams. However the front desk, the cleanliness, the lack of everything, the missing creamer, and the unbearable heat stands out far more.
I asked if they would do anything to make up for the awful experience and they said there is nothing they can do. Of course. Thousands of dollars for a cuckoo bananas stay.
