I had the pleasure of visiting The Owl’s Nest for an undercut design, and I must say it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable.
Ben is a true master of his craft. His attention to detail and precision in designing was exceptional. He flawlessly executed his creation of a flower, a mountain and the sun with amazing rays. It's evident that he is passionate about what he does. I wish I wasn’t visiting from out of town because I would definitely be a regular!

Ben has been doing my hair the five plus years I have lived in Castle Rock. Always good conversation, a fine haircut and extreme attention to detail. Even my visiting daughter has commented on the line work.

Recently my other daughter had shaved her head, and as the hair grew out she wanted some design work done. Ben stepped up to the plate and took on the challenge. The pictures represent his latest designs that were in honor of my mother for her memorial service. This is the fifth or sixth design series she has had done.

Just moved to the area and needed a haircut in the worst way. Moving away from my longtime barber in AZ made me nervous as there are so many places where it’s not a personal experience at all. They just see how many people they can get in and out.
Ben made it feel like I was hanging with a buddy. I wasn’t rushed and it felt like he really cared about me liking how my hair turned out.

Ben has a real gift. A session with him is like traveling back in time to when you could have an experience and relationship with your barber. This isn’t some chop shop so you can get your $8 hair cut…I’ve never had my hair grow out so well after a cut, which means I save money by not having to go so often. I only use Ben for my hair now, if you haven’t tried him out, book a session you won’t regret it.

Please read this before you go here! This guy is charging for just scheduling an appointment. Do not go here ..... I asked him several times kindly and politely not to charge me to set up an appointment. I had never missed a deadline or an appointment, he did not listen or care. I did nothing wrong and yet I feel like he was punishing me for being a good customer. The funny thing is he only reached out to me when I gave him a bad review. Didn't care about me as a customer, just that he was right.

I like Ben overaI I think he does a good job. I just don't appreciate his business practices. Ben even called me after I posted this and asked me to take it down, but did not want to do anything for me, again did not listen or care. Fact.

I think a $25 appointment fee is ridiculous when he is charging $45 some dollars for a haircut and another $35 for a beard trim and I tipped him well, and worked around his schedule since he is not open that often. I think this post is costing him more than $25, a good businessman probably would have waived the $25 for a good customer. Hopefully he comes to his senses and I hope I have warned others.

You can't charge people for doing nothing - setting up the appointment is just part of the job. Don't make everybody pay for your scheduling app, it's just part of doing business. PS this is when he told me he had a new app and then proceeded to tell me he was going to charge me for scheduling. I was really disappointed and kind of hurt.

I'm sure there is a lot of your customers who are thinking the same thing but don't want to hurt your feelings.

Lastly, most companies charge you if you miss an appointment not to book an appointment.

Good dude, master of his craft & my haircuts last longer than I’ve ever had with past haircuts - which says a lot.
