Liana was a dream to work with! She is kind, organized, responsive, and incredibly talented. I do not wear makeup day to day and was worried about not feeling like myself on my wedding day, but she completely eased all my concerns. She ensured I felt like an elevated version of myself by maintaining a more natural look which is exactly what I wanted. Liana also listened to my feedback from the makeup trial with wanting a more natural eyelash and she accomplished that beautifully. Many of my bridesmaids were nervous about makeup due to their lack of experience wearing it and their diverse skin tones, but Liana and her partner were amazing --- they exceeded all of my bridesmaids' expectations. We all absolutely LOVED our looks and the makeup lasted all day/night - even with happy tears and sweating from dancing 🙂 I could not be happier with my choice for a makeup artist and would hands down use Liana again for a future event. I was so worried about not looking like myself on my big day which is why I hired Liana, as she specializes in natural-looking makeup. She is so talented and truly enhances your natural beauty and best features. The makeup felt so light and lasted all night! She is also a hair wizard! My hair looked great all night despite the dancing. She also did hair and make-up for my mom and sister, who had nothing but great things to say and looked wonderful all night! On a personal level, she is so easy to work with and responsive to any feedback you give her. She is so nice and laid-back which is what you want on the day of your wedding. I decided that I wanted Liana to do my wedding hair and makeup years prior to our engagement. I was a bridesmaid for a friend who hired Liana, and seeing her hair and makeup on her wedding day had me sold.

The planning of our wedding was a doozy, and Liana remained flexible, responsive and communicative the whole time. She was incredibly fast in giving me a quote, creating a contract, and responding to any questions I had. We had two wedding events, and call me crazy, but I chose both event dates around Liana’s availability because I knew she would play such a large part in making me feeling my best.

She is really, really talented. I’m a person of color, and I’ve had my fair share of bad makeup experiences. I trusted Liana to be able to flatter my skin tone, and she did not disappoint. In fact, I trusted her so much that she did my makeup trial the day of our small ceremony (we had an elopement days later). She took my inspiration pictures and feedback and was able to create a natural makeup look that looked like me but better. I saw myself before I saw the makeup. I got compliments on my makeup from my husband, sister (she’s tough to win over!), our photographer, and our violinist. Her hair styling skills are just as impressive as her makeup artistry. She listened to my preferences, looked at my inspiration pictures, and listened to my hair. She observed what my hair responded well to and went with it. It resulted in a hairstyle that had components of my inspiration picture with a modern edge that matched my wedding dress and overall style. I think this flexibility is an indicator of someone who really knows what they’re doing. Last, she talks to you about how your skin and hair behave and modifies the prep work to ensure your makeup and hair last all day. Our wedding events had rain, wind, hiking and lots of snuggles - my hair and makeup lasted all night for both.

Overall, she was organized, prepared and timely. If I ever need my makeup done for another event, I will only book with Liana.

Where to start! Liana is an incredibly talented artist and can execute anything you send her way. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to book her for my wedding for hair and make-up and it was one of the best decisions I made. She is a joy to work with and is extremely thoughtful with everything she does. My biggest fear for my wedding day was that I wouldn't look like myself, as most weddings I have stood up in the make-up was overkill.
