Rented out the B Street Community Center for a special event that one of my organizations was having. The rental process and price was fairly easy and reasonable.

Staff was friendly and the facility was clean. The Wi-Fi works fairly well.

A good resource for Lake Wales.

It was overall a good experience.

Very small. LGI recently ran an energy Fair at this facility they took the first hundred fifty people that showed up at 10 in the morning I was number 181 I left because they weren't letting anybody inside and it reach 99 degrees out that day you had people that were just outside in the sun baking in the heat like that and they can't go inside because there wasn't enough room for everybody I don't understand why they would have something like that if the facility wasn't big enough to hold the amount of people that you were going to accept I didn't get seen until almost three that afternoon and it was too far away from my home about an hour for me to be able to go home and come back

If I could rate no stars i would. My disabled parents went to the food pantry and were not only turned away but treated very unfairly. A woman who accused my parents of cutting in line made a screen and in the end my parents were embarrassed, turned away and had the police called on them. Instead of the woman calmly talking it out and rectifying it they were completely degraded in front of hundreds. You should be ashamed I will be making noise about this further as it needs to be known.

First off let me start by saying , this is the absolute WORST community center I have EVER interested with . Whether it be the service from the people . Or the consideration from the ignorant people in the waiting line . I absolutely will never allow my parent to go here again and the next time I come down , I want whoever RUNS this place , or OWNS it to tell me it was okay for them to have THREATENED my DISABLED parents with the police . I came down to visit Florida 3 weeks ago . Came into this center MYSELF to set everything up for my DISABLED ELDERLY parents to be able to go to on their own since they have hit a little bit of a rough patch, I am now back in Wisconsin and last Thursday was the first time they went by their selfs . A older lady had told them it was okay to go in front of them, I HEARD THE LADY . My mom said fine okay, and continued on. They got to the FRONT of the line before the ignorant lady HOPPED out her car SCREAMING they cut in line and she DEMANDED something be done . My two elderly parents . Who my mom already has a walker bc she can barely walk due to the nerve damage in her legs . Stood there and tried to explain what happened . When they were RUDELY cut off and told by WHOEVER runs this center that it they do not go to the back of the line . The police will arrest my dad and remove my mom. My mom was so heartbroken and completely disheartened by what happened . When I called yesterday to talk to a lady there and tried to make it right , she was more worried about she wasn’t the one who was there who did it , not the fact that these two people who happen to me my parents were treated completely unfairly and embarrassed in front of everything because of someone who literally told them to go ahead . If you expect to be treated fairly and equally , this is not the place for you , if you expect to be treated with kindness, this is not the place for you . If you expect to be treated with , RESPECT ? THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.
