This is more of a "hidden" in plain sight park near the Orlando International Airport but it isn't very hard to find. This is a great opprotunity to see one of our "Centennial" aircraft. There is a memorial plaque explaining this aircraft's history and how it came to rest here. There also is theGreater Orlando Aviation Authority K-9 Memorial located here dedicated to Roky.

The park is located on Bear Road, accessible from Tradeport Drive just south of Beachline/SR 528 Exit 4, around the corner from where the old Orlando Jetport terminal, the predecessor to the current Orlando International Airport terminal, used to stand. The park is open from 7:00am to sunset, and is free of charge to visit. The park also contains a memorial for the Airport Authority's K-9s adjacent to the B-52.

Great place to get stung by 100s of yellow jackets while trying to look at this beautiful bird. 2 of the nests are face level and if you walk under the plane you don't know that your going to be attacked face first.

This well-preserved Stratofortress is a monument to the old Mc Coy airforce base which closed in the 70's and became the Orlando International airport, now the 9th largest airport in the country. This plane is number 687 of the 744 that were built. B-52s first flew in 1955, and many are still flying and scheduled to fly for about 20 more years. The Russians have always hated this plane and still do. I love it.

Ein wirklich schön angelegter Park und ein riesiges Flugzeug.
Es ist möglich direkt an das Flugzeug zu gelangen umgeben von Rasen und Sitzmöglichkeiten.
Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden und der es kostet keinen Eintritt. Kostenlos!
Mit Google Maps sehr leicht zu finden, sonst könnte es etwas schwierig werden.
Wenn der Urlaub fast zu Ende ist und die Abgabe des Leihwagens bevorsteht, ein wenig Zeit auch noch ist…
Dann ist dieser Ort wirklich sehenswert .
Flughafen MCO ist angrenzend und gut hörbar.

visited today after happening upon the site during pre-vacation trip planning a month ago. worked on H's in the 80s and havent seen one in person since 87. very distinguished display of this magnificent aircraft. wife was a trooper putting up with me despite being miserable in the hot sun.
