NOT impressed! Dr Freeland did cataract surgery on my wife 3 weeks ago. She still cannot see well out of that eye. At first she was told it was due to swelling. When I called to complain, the person I spoke with implied he had made some type of "mistake" with the laser but that it would heal. We didn't spend $3000 for a doctor to make a "mistake". Going in again on Tuesday to have a chat with him.

I can not make enough positive comments about my experience with Dr. Freeland. Every time I entrust my care to a new doctor, I am always concerned about how the interaction will proceed. There are many doctors who are skilled in their field but not so much in their interpersonal skills. I am happy to say that not only does Dr. Freeland possess exemplary surgical skills, he also is one of the kindest, most caring doctors that has ever provided me with care. He takes the time to not only listen to any concerns, but he also makes sure to explain the course of treatment in a manner that is easy to understand. I never felt that he was rushing through any of my appointments with him, and always felt that my care was a top priority.

Not only is Dr. Freeland a true treasure but his office staff is also amazing. They were so accommodating and patient with me as I submitted various forms that needed to be completed--even when the forms had to be updated and revised numerous times.

I am very thankful that I had Dr. Freeland as a surgeon during this stressful time in my life. Knowing I was in good hands gave me one less thing to worry about.

Dr. Freeland is a talented surgeon & a brilliant and caring doctor. I am recovering from my second big surgery with him, and I am grateful to have found him (Via Dr. Giday, another excellent Dr!) Dr. Freeland has a very attentive bedside manner and a fuss-free approach to medicine, as the other reviewers have stated. I never feel rushed, and I appreciate being able to get in to see him when and if I need to. He’s gone above and beyond on many occasions to make sure I understood/felt comfortable/got the care I needed.

Dr. Michael Freeland is one of the best surgeons throughout Central Florida. Took care of my husband during his colon, liver and pelvis surgery as a result of cancer and today 6 years later my husband is still alive and doing well. He has very good bedside manners and cares for his patients deeply. There is none like him. He is a beautiful soul.
