This is the best nail salon in Portland, hands down. The most complete selection of services and nail polishes (gel, dip, dazzle dry, etc). Everyone is friendly and professional. A great spot for nail art too if that’s your thing. I do recommend booking in advance, they’re busy for good reason!

I went in on Saturday with a friend to get our nails done, we got the premium special and honestly I’m so disappointed in how my nails turned out.
Our techs were both so nice which is why I’m giving 2 stars because they were very communicative and easy to talk to. My nails didn’t even last a week, they lasted about 5 days which is incredibly upsetting. I wasn’t expecting them to pop off so easy, I really just needed them to last until this coming weekend for a special occasion. For the price we paid I was expecting to get at least 2 weeks worth, not 5 days. I never even got the special manicure treatment that was part of the premium special because by the time he was done with my nails you guys were closing, which I still ended up paying for…

Now I’m glueing my nails back on hoping they make it through the weekend ? If you guys can’t provide quality service, you shouldn’t be charging quality service prices.

H&E Paint Bar Middle Street is my go-to spot. All of the staff is friendly. Zoe is very detail-oriented and fun to chat with. I get builder gel manicures. I usually get my nails done for vacations and special occasions. They did an incredible job with my wedding nails. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

I am a longtime client of H&E Paint Bar and they are truly the best. They're very accommodating and friendly. Once my nails chipped immediately (the brand of nail polish doesn't work for my nails, it's not them!) and they fixed it right away and made me happy! Their salon is spotless and sanitary. I highly recommend them.

The best nail techs in Portland, and dare I say all of Maine! I have allergies to some nail products and they are so helpful and accommodating in ensuring no cross contamination is happening. It’s also an incredibly clean and well maintained space.

Be sure to book in advance because they fill up fast!

Moved to maine about a year ago and this is a great spot! I’ve been to both locations for mani/pedis with my girlfriends! The atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly!

Fantastic nail service and great nail techs, but terrible customer service and communication. One of our parties flights got delayed and because of their cancellation policy we weren't able to get a refund, though no one mentioned that once during our visit. And we weren't told we could use the service time we had already paid for on a different service. I understand cancellation policies and reasons why, it was just really bad communication from junior staff.
