Marisa did my hair and makeup (as well as my mother in law and sister in law's makeup) at my small wedding. The entire experience, from beginning to end, was nothing short of wonderful. We didn't have an opportunity to do a trial together because I was coming from out of town, but Marisa was very communicative over email and came prepared with thoughts about the inspiration images I had shared with her. I am not a super glam girl and hardly ever wear makeup and, as I requested, Marisa gave me subtle enhancing makeup that still looked like myself, only better. I was blown away and absolutely loved the makeup she did for me. For my hair, I requested a braided up-do to support a floral crown and veil, and, again, Marisa had vision to take my idea and turn it into reality. I LOVED the milkmaid-ish braided chignon she styled my hair in, and the wispy face framing curls. And it totally survived hours of photos, being windswept on top of a mountain, and hours of wedding dancing. On top of that, she's just a wonderful, kind person that I enjoyed spending my wedding morning with. Marisa also ended up giving my mom a haircut a couple of days before the wedding, and we all agree it's one of the best (if not THE best) she's ever had. I would totally recommend her to anyone looking for wedding hair styling, makeup OR haircut services!
