This is a really cool trail. We were short on time so we didn’t get all the way to the Springs. I don’t even know if there’s any water there at this time of year; the trail was pretty dry. The footing is really good and it’s an easy, steady climb with beautiful views. The leaves are beginning to turn, and you could see colors on the hillsides.

Probably still one of the best kept secrets at Mt Charleston ? This moderate out and back trail gives you a nice steady climb as you zig zag in a ravine to start and gradually go up to the springs/creek. While nearby Fletcher Canyon dries up by summer there always seems to be water flowing here. There are several spots with little waterfalls; additionally, there is a great viewpoint at the top to reward the climb! Best of all this is a very quiet trail - I only came across two people the entire time I was here. Parking is in the gravel cove area to the side of the road - it is very smooth for parking and it never fills up.

Overall good little hike. However nothing that special with no amazing views. It was worth it though.
Do note that this location is for the parking for the trail and the trail head is farther up the road which you will have to hike to a bit.
The parking lot isn't bad for a camper van if you have one, and if you go during winter there seems to be barely anyone that stops here. So it was very peaceful to cook outside and what not since there wasn't anyone to bother us.
The trail itself is somewhat steep but overall easy. It is dog and cat friendly (yes cat, look at the pictures.) Luckily because there was literally no one I could let my dog off her leash and you can tell if there is snow on the ground if anyone is ahead of you. The spring itself isnt much to look at but still a nice little corner.

Pretty steep climb especially closer to the top. But the view and breeze are spectacular!

They greenery, the wildlife, the temps in the high 70's when in the city its OVER 100° @ The exact same moment. Nice Hike, mild incline the entire way up & the stunning views. Took my 7 yr. Old nephew & 14 yr. Old niece on their very 1st hike & they loved it. Even caught a lizard ?. Was Awesome cool experience on a hot summer day.

Forested mountain trail with lots of shade. Starting from small parking lot you must hike uphill through rocks, boulders and tree roots. Path gets clearer as it veers to the left away from the wash. The top (aprox 1.25 mi) is several areas to explore. One trail leads to a rock overlook with a great view, another to a spring & cave, and another to a closed up mine and spring. Some water running in July, but not a lot. On the way down, trail to the right offers views on the way.

Had an amazing day with the family playing in the snow. Great way to get out of town for a min and actually relax.
