I had a room block for a wedding and hosted a welcome wedding reception in August. The guests told me how nice the hotel and rooms were. Often times on the weekend there is gratis food stations in the lobby. The Friday dinner buffet for the rehearsal dinner was spectacular! The food and beverage manager (Jason Gajan) as well as the room block coordinator (Sara Jacobs) were both a pleasure to work with. I have gone to the restaurant there several times and it is a hidden gem. Would highly recommend for a stay at the hotel or to host an event.

This was my first stay at a Luxury Collection property, and frankly, I expected more.

Yes, the property looks amazing and has a great vibe. However, the level of service didn’t match our expectations. Understand that we are not the typical, target clientele for this property. We are a hard working middle class couple from rural Ohio who really extended ourselves to experience this resort.

We took advantage of off season rates to celebrate our anniversary in a special way. Unfortunately, nothing else was priced for the off season. $60 valet parking. $50 resort fee. Expensive dining. Expensive spa services. We could have easily spent 2-3x our room rate in incidentals. Off season should be off season discounts across the board.

I never did get a clear indication as to what the resort fee was offering me.

Overall, the service was lackluster. No one went out of their way to make us feel welcome or special. The staff seemed very cold and dismissive. We were left feeling like we did not belong there.

This is a gorgeous hotel in an incredibly scenic area. We had a balcony with a Mountain View which was amazing. We were surprised with a welcome champagne and dessert tray. There were s’mores and free whisky tasting daily which was fun. There was a free on demand car service to take you into the village (or it was a nice 30 minute walk or free shuttle from the hotel). Service was incredible all around. Rooms were a little small but well decorated and recently renovated.

Location is awesome… but this is not a good hotel for the price. While the lobby is pretty and the rooms are nicely decorated we did not have a good experience. The room was very hot and took an entire night to cool down. The pillows gave me a headache, the room was tiny, and the shower was so small. The hot tub was murky and dirty, our room only came with one robe, and there were no pool towels. It was also my husbands birthday and despite having Marriott gold status no early/ late check out was offered, no room upgrade, and no “happy birthday” from the front desk.

At around $300-400/night I think this hotel is a great value for the Vail area. Why spend $1000 at the Four Seasons when they are nicer and more helpful here? $25 valet with unlimited in and out, super friendly staff, complimentary shuttles for drop off and pickup locally, umbrellas you can borrow, complimentary whiskey/spirit tastings in the lobby. We liked the robes and felt the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The valets were rather friendly and attentive, they charged our Tesla overnight and ran down to grab my phone charger when I forgot it.

So far, a great experience at The Hythe.

The Hythe in Vail, Colorado, is an absolute gem! I have stayed here a few times, even back when this was the Vail Marriott. It was fantastic then and is now after the remodel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need. The rooms are beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. They are cozy with great views and fireplaces. The views of the mountains are breathtaking, and the location is ideal for both skiing and exploring the village. The on-site dining options are fantastic, with delicious meals that cater to all tastes. We especially loved the cozy ambiance of the lounge area. Overall, our stay was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return.

I was very appreciative and impressed by the detailed amenities from the SodaStream, complimentary tea, snack bars, arrival gift, local themes throughout the hotel, and birthday appreciation. Climate in the room was a bit tricky given the recent hot temperatures. Patio is big and very exposed to neighbors. You definitely get a sense this was a dated hotel with a very good, trendy remodel. Overall great experience and location. Susan at the grab and go cafe is incredibly friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable!

Amazing experience at the Hythe! We stopped for an evening on our honeymoon and the entire team made the it the best celebration. Cris made us feel so welcomed with a surprise gift and reservations for dinner right on the stream downtown. Have already recommended to friends and will be back!
